The Challenge

Carnext needed a reliable, scalable container orchestration platform to support their growing microservices architecture. Their old stack was using AWS ECS, that had always functioned without problems, but was getting more and more of a hindrance due to the implicit limitations. They also wanted extended routing capabilities for incomming and outgoing communication, this is where the Kong API Gateway software came in.

Our Solution

We designed and implemented a production-grade Kubernetes platform featuring:

• Multi-node cluster with high availability
• GitOps-based deployment pipeline using ArgoCD
• Comprehensive monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana
• Automated certificate management with cert-manager
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Advanced traffic routing capabilities using Kong

Results

• Deployment frequency increased from daily to full continues delivery
• Infrastructure provisioning time reduced to minutes
• 99.9% uptime achieved in the first quarter
• Full API Gateway capabilities like conditional routing, traffic shaping and authentication.
